HapdeokChurch, together with Gongseri Church in Asan, is one of the oldest churches inChungcheongnam-do. Known for its architectural beauty, it has appeared in many dramas and films and is a popular destination on social media.

Shinri Shrine is the place where Bishop Antoine Daveluy, the 5th Apostolic Vicar of Korea, once lived. Bishop Daveluy first set foot in Korea at Gangyeong with Father Kim Dae-geon in October 1845. He ministered in Korea for21 years until he was martyred at Galmaet-gol in 1866.
