This memorial park was created to honor CardinalStephen Kim Sou-hwan, one of the most influential figures in the KoreanCatholic Church. Centered around the restored home of his devout Catholicfamily, the park includes retreat facilities, exhibition halls, the PeaceForest, and a Way of the Cross designed for quiet prayer and reflection.

About the Saint
Cardinal Stephen Kim Sou-hwan
A descendant of martyrs and born into a deeplyfaithful Catholic family, Cardinal Kim pursued the priesthood within thisstrong tradition of belief. After serving as bishop in the Dioceses of Masanand Seoul, he was elevated to the cardinalate by Pope Paul VI. Throughout hisministry, especially after becoming cardinal, he stood with the oppressed,defended human dignity, and promoted evangelization, shaping the role and moralauthority of the Catholic Church in modern Korea.
