YongsomakChurch, founded in 1904, is the third oldest church in Gangwon-do, followingPungsuwon and Wonju. Designated Gangwon-do Cultural Heritage No. 106, it isknown for its architectural beauty and deep spiritual significance. The churchalso houses a memorial museum honoring Father 선종완 라우렌시오(Father Laurence Seon Jong-wan), who made major contributions to thetranslation of the Scriptures into Korean.

Behindthe church are the Stations of the Cross, a Marian garden, and a Rosary path,offering a peaceful place for pilgrims to pray and meditate.
