Incheon Landing Operation
This historical site was established to commemorate the Incheon Landing Operation (์ธ์ฒ์๋ฅ์์ ) of September 15, 1950, which completely reversed the course of the Korean War. Located in Okryeon-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City (์ธ์ฒ๊ด์ญ์ ์ฐ์๊ตฌ ์ฅ๋ จ๋), this memorial vividly conveys the desperate moments of the war, the meticulous strategy of the operation, and the stories of the soldiers who were sacrificed in the process. Inside the memorial hall, actual materials such as maps from the time of the operation, documentary photographs, radios, and equipment are exhibited. The operation process is recreated through dioramas and videos so that visitors can understand the urgency of the operation at a glance, and scale models of warships and equipment used during the landing can also be seen. In the outdoor exhibition area, full-scale displays of landing craft, tanks, and fighter aircraft allow visitors to experience the atmosphere of the wartime battlefield.
