Established on May 1, 1979, this memorial was built to honor the spirit of national defense during the Korean War (6·25전쟁). It is a space prepared to remember the sacrifices of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces, the United Nations Forces, and many unnamed soldiers who fought for the freedom and peace of their homeland at that time. The Nakdong River Victory Memorial Hall (낙동강승전기념관) goes beyond a simple exhibition hall, integrating the meaning of national defense, the memory of sacrifice, and the lessons of division and reunification.
