Busan United Nations Memorial Park
This is the world’s only United Nations Forces cemetery, where approximately 2,300 soldiers from the United Nations forces of 11 countries who were killed during the Korean War are buried. Established in 1951, it reflects on the historical significance of the Korean War and has become a symbol of international peace and cooperation. The park features a main gate reflecting traditional Korean architectural styles and a memorial hall honoring the 16 participating nations. The roll of honor for the fallen and the architecture embodying multinational and multireligious significance leave a deep impression on visitors. It was designated as a Registered Cultural Heritage in 2007 and is managed by the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea International Management Committee (유엔 기념공원 국제관리위원회).
