Independence Hall of Korea
Located in Cheonan-si (์ฒ์์), the Independence Hall of Korea (๋ ๋ฆฝ๊ธฐ๋ ๊ด) is a national memorial hall that honors the history of the Japanese colonial period and the Korean independence movement, and conveys that spirit to future generations. Inside, major materials and artifacts related to the independence movement, including the March 1st Movement (3ยท1์ด๋), the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea (๋ํ๋ฏผ๊ตญ ์์์ ๋ถ), and the Heroic Corps (์์ด๋จ), are systematically exhibited. Outdoors, the spire of the former main building of the Government-General of Korea (์กฐ์ ์ด๋ ๋ถ), a symbol of the Japanese colonial period, is displayed. This structure, dismantled after liberation as a symbol of colonial rule, is now preserved at the Independence Hall as an educational artifact that awakens historical awareness.
