The DMZ Museum (DMZ박물관) was established in August 2009 along the road leading up to the Unification Observatory (통일전망대) after completing entry registration. It reconstructs and presents the appearance of the Korean Peninsula before and after the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950, the historical significance of the Armistice Line, and the ecological environment of the DMZ, the symbolic region of the world’s only remaining divided nation.
