SaemiGarden of Grace is a major pilgrimage site of the Jeju Diocese, home to the“Life of Jesus Park,” which depicts twelve key events from the Lord’s life—fromHis birth to the Last Supper—and to the Trinity Basilica. Covering about264,000 m², the site can host outdoor Masses or large gatherings of up to 5,000people.

Thename “Saemi,” inherited from the area’s older designation, carries meanings inLatin related to holiness, soul, Gospel, mediation, and the image of God. It isconsidered the largest Gospel-themed park in the world, filled with statuesillustrating Jesus’ public ministry and all fourteen Stations of the Cross.

TheSt. Isidore Center includes a lakeside walking path for praying the rosary, aLourdes-style Marian grotto, the Trinity Basilica, a large outdoor church, St.Isidore Hall for retreats and training, the “House of Youth” retreat center, anelder-care facility, and a hospice for the terminally ill—offering spiritualand charitable service to both believers and nonbelievers.
