Okcheon Church

OkcheonChurch was built in 1955. Catholicism first reached the Okcheon region around1900.

The current church building was constructed after the Korean War by Fr. RoyPetitfrère of the Maryknoll Missioners when he was appointed the 8th pastor. Asthe only church building in Chungcheongbuk-do dating from the 1950s, it holdssignificant architectural value for understanding the development of Catholicarchitecture in the region.

TheWay of the Cross is located beside the church garden.
