Seoun-dongChurch was established in June 1933 as the first parish in Cheongju and wasrebuilt at its current location in July 1963. Within its territory are fourmartyrdom sites—Cheongju Jin-yeong, the marketplace outside the South Gate, themilitary barracks of Chungcheong, and the execution ground outside the NorthGate—and one site of witness, the Cheongju prison.
Relics of Blessed Paul Oh Ban-ji are enshrinedbeneath the altar. Retreats and lodging are available with prior reservation.
