Solmoe, meaning “a pine-covered hill,” is a small village in Ugang-myeon, Dangjin-si. It is the birthplace of St. Andrew Kim Dae-geon, the first priest of Korea, and is home to his birthplace and memorial hall. Pilgrims visit throughout the year to pray and walk in the footsteps of the saint.
