Korean War Memorial
This is the representative war history museum of the Republic of Korea (대한민국). Opened in 1994, this memorial holds more than 10,000 artifacts and exhibits. Through its indoor and outdoor exhibition halls, it presents the history of various wars and peace experienced by the nation from ancient times to the modern era, as well as the sacrifices of war veterans. In particular, through the Korean War Exhibition Hall (6·25전쟁실), the Hall of Remembrance for Patriotic Defense (호국추모실), large-scale outdoor displays of military equipment, and various experiential and educational programs, as well as the Wall of Names listing fallen soldiers (명비), it is designed so that foreign visitors may vividly understand Korean history. Admission is free, and English-language guide services are also provided.
